When the architects of our community wrote the magnificent words of the Agile Manifesto and the Declaration of Interdependence they were signing a promisory note to which every agilist was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all people would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of Simplicity, Communication, Feedback and a continuous flow of Value.
We must not default on this promissory note, insofar as people in need are concerned.
I say to you today, my friends, so even though we struggle to find the time to deliver value today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Agile dream.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream today. That I will one day see an army of agile volunteers using Agile Methods to deliver on the mission of charitable causes.
I have a dream today that they will deliver on this mission using Agile Software Development.
I have a dream today that they will deliver on this mission using Agile Project Management.
I have a dream today that they will deliver on this mission using Agile Portfolio Management.
I have a dream today that they will deliver on this mission using Lean Principles to eliminate waste.
To realize this dream we are working on grooming the backlog and creating a vision for Agile Philanthropy.
We've received much ... let's give back.
